Re: Legal red light jumping in Paris

Regarding pedestrians crossing the road in France, there has been a change in the law, and in my experience cars are now much more likely to stop for pedestrians (and also for cyclists using a path that crosses side roads and on the edge of roundabouts) - the drivers risk a large fine and loss of po...

Re: Pedal powered buses in New Forest

As buses traditionally travel in threes, and I imagine the speed may be between 10 and 15mph at best, they will be a really effective traffic-calming measure on the New Forest roads !!

Re: TV series on North Sea cycle route in UK

The link only shows a short trailer for the series. However, having watched a few episodes thought that it's a route to add to my list of "must do" ( At least some of the UK part ) Anyone done it or part of it? Is it all on road - any cycle tracks?
Thanks

Re: Prepaid Data FRANCE/SPAIN

In France tourist offices often have free wi-fi so you can use lap-tops, tablets etc. However, pay as you go sim charges for phones are rather extortionate as they all seem to be time limited - remaining credit is lost if you don't top up after the time you have bought. Of course this means you can m...

Re: British Cycle Quest

Its a good way to motivate yourself to set out on a ride with a map exploring an area you don't know. I found it quite easy to bag the local ones as often I had a good idea of the roads in the area. When on holidays, B&B weekends away etc I look at the OS map and see if I can visit a few checkpo...

Re: Cycle Magazine Online

Just found there is an archive of past issues on the main site - ( not sure if anyone has already reported this on this thread)
