Re: chain link pin

increasingly helpful - especially as I do appear to have the OEM version at the correct length. In future it would be worth considering switching to KMC for simplicity as much as anything else?

chain link pin

I have a new Chainset - Tiagra 4700; Shimano recommend chain HG54. I have that chain as it was sent as part of the groupset deal. It surprised me that I don't need to shorten the chain (I estimate is 112 links) - using biggest sprocket / large chainwheel method to measure length. But the question is...

Re: Eurosport

Assuming you have a paid eurosport subscription, you can cast from your tablet or phone to a TV that has a google chrome cast dongle plugged into HDMI port. If using Apple phone / iPad you will probably find it will not work if using a lead (apple lead is about £50) straight into HDMI port.

Re: Chain Care

Should I be cleaning the factory oils off the new chain first and if so what with - a degreaser followed by water and left to dry ( slightly gives me the heebejeebs a new chain being left wet ...

on sale 5700 105 hubs from bike discount

Bike discount are selling the 5700 105 hubs at about the same price you can get Tiagra for and maybe half the price of the more recent 5800 105s. I think they are limited to 10 speed but if that suits they strike me as a bargain. I have used this german company before and found them excellent in ter...

Re: SPA CYCLES 631 Tour Special

I am in the market to 'upgrade' - or re-build - a winter bike based around an old 500 frame so these are rather tempting, lose some weight ..... A 631 frame-set for 250 is seductive but is their 725 audax frame with carbon forks a good 50 quid on top well spent?

Re: which cable (ends) for older non aero levers

Non comprendo. I wonder if we are at 'cross purposes' ? I was intending to buy something like this; http://www.wiggle.co.uk/lifeline-essential-inner-brake-cable-shimanosram-road-1/ and push it up thru the lever and into the cable housing, then I wondered if it was wearing the correct 'nobbly bit' on...
