Re: about Bikester

Used them couple times. Biggest problem when item is out of stock - order is hanging forever, no customer support letting you know about situation until you try to trace why order is not being shipped...

Re: Wiggle's Verenti Substance II

What is the definition of heavy for a steel bike? I managed to get mine under 10kg with 1x setup, light wheels and tyres, and some carbon bits. Now it doesn't feel slow compared to other gravel bikes to me...

Re: Wiggle's Verenti Substance II

I think you should get size 56, I'm 185cm and 88cm inseam and it's perfect size for me. Larger bike would be ok too, but you'll need shorter stem.

Well in the end it will be totally custom bike, but original one is not bad too, except the bottom bracket

Re: Wiggle's Verenti Substance II

Just because there is no perfect bike in the world, especially when bike builders are skimming on wheels and cranksets.

Re: Wiggle's Verenti Substance II

It's Wheels Manufacturing threaded PF30 to BSA bottom bracket + Shimano Ultegra 6650 cranks. No more press fit, no creaking :)

Re: Wiggle's Verenti Substance II

Here it is after few mods - binned the PF30 bottom bracket and FSA crankset, changed into 1x11, lighter wheels, 42mm tyres and leather saddle. Like the bike after few short rides already - stiff and fast, huge tyre clearance. http://www.gerasdviratis.lt/forum/download/file.php?id=84097

Re: Wiggle's Verenti Substance II

So after couple of responses from wiggle, I'm buying it. It appears my friend works there and managed to take a pic while it was built :D https://scontent-lht6-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t35.0-12/20641606_10214342160287544_98416241_o.jpg?oh=290cf180645df3e32aacf018736ffc8d&oe=5988E0A3

Re: AthleteShop Returns

I had extremely bad experience with AthleteShop - 0 communication, bought 4 tyres and had to wait whole month just to realise they don't have enough stock. After another 2 weeks managed to get at least 3 items, and had to choose 1 to be different. Had to escalate new dispute with every message, othe...

Wiggle's Verenti Substance II

Hi all, I'm looking if anyone has already bought new Verenti Substance II from Wiggle and has to share any impressions? (http://www.wiggle.co.uk/verenti-substance-ii-105-2017-adventure-road-bike-yellow/) As they are online only it's hard to decide about purchase without seeing it in reality. I like ...

Re: New tent offer

So let me get this right; You make two criticisms of a tent, the first being that it's too heavy and say you can get better for the same price. When asked what, you suggest tents that are even heavier  There is an argument about how a tent pitches, like all arguments it has two sides, some man...

for same price - Eurohike tents are few grams heavier but builds outside first.
Jamet Dolomite is cool choice, but sold out everywhere :(

Re: New tent offer

Well I could say the opposite - nothing good:
too heavy for backpacking,
inside has to be build first - gets wet in rain,
you can find better for same price...
