Metabike for sale

Hi Everyone,

Just in case you are interested (or know someone who might be) my immaculate Metabike is advertised in the for sale section. Sadly it has to go due to lack of space.

ICE Trice S Folding Recumbent Trike

Hi Everyone,

just to let you know (in case you are interested or know of someone who might be) my 2006 ICE Trice S folding trike is advertised in the For Sale section. A wonderful machine but I no longer have the storage space for it and find I am riding my two wheeler more. It need to go to a good home!

How long have you been riding the Fuego and was it easy to learn to ride?

Hi Tortoise, I have had the Fuego for about 8 months but I started off with an ICE B1 with OC bars and have several hundred miles on that. I found the transition to the Fuego very easy and the tiller steering is quite easy to adapt to in my opinion. I think one advantage over OC is that the position of your arms forces a light grip. With OC if you do not relax your upper body completely the steering will feel very twitchy. A friend of mine who had never ridden a bent before tried both and found the Fuego easier. I must say I miss my OC bars for slow speeds when I found them better, at speed the tiller is slightly better in my opinion. It is important to get the tiller height set properly but this is easy to do; too low and I found the steering too sensitive. I really recommend trying a Fuego I have found mine to be considerably quicker than my B1 was for similar effort. I ride in a city and have found the Fuego to be pretty good in traffic. HTH.

Re: Riding Trikes

Having just acquired an ICE Trice S I can comment on this. Compared to a two wheeler I have felt the need to lean a little when going through bends at speed (18 mph+). As has been stated an adverse camber feels odd on the trike compared to a two wheeled bent. I have less than 20 miles on the trike so far so I am not an expert! I'll post a review when I have more miles on the Trice. I can already report it is great fun and was quite surprised at my 12.5 mph rolling average on a hilly ride though this is 3 mph down on my Fuego. Hope this helps a little.

Re: ICE B1 Folding Recumbent bike

Hi Sradageek,

What about the situation where you are visiting friends as a family and feel the need to go for a ride - the B1 is so easy to transport you can take it along for those occasions when you might need it :D.

Not sure if that is a good enough excuse! If I had the room I would keep it...

ICE B1 Folding Recumbent bike

Hello Everyone,

I have put my lovely ICE B1 folding recumbent bike up for sale in the "For Sale" section in case any of you might be interested. I'm picking up a trike this weekend so unfortunately I do not have enough room to keep the B1 (somehow managed to pick up a Fuego a few months ago as well - bit addictive these recumbents aren't they? :D ).

P.S. been a long time lurker and have learned a great deal from the regular contributors - hopefully I can chip in now I have a bit more recumbent experience.
