Re: Bottom Bracket Stripped Threads Repairer

Have taken bike to Barron Cycles for expert advice and repair. Due to the scale of the damage Barron are looking at fitting an Italian BB which of course is just a little bigger - fingers crossed

Bottom Bracket Stripped Threads Repairer

I have a Trek Portland (aluminium) and for some reason the frame threads for the bottom bracket retaining cup have worn away or been stripped. I live in Lincolnshire and am looking for someone reliable to repair. I sense a threadless bottom bracket is possible but as I cover nearly 10,000 miles annually is this the best solution.

Re: Lejog (15 day)starting good friday- any takers

Hi

I hope/want to do LEJOG this year and raise money for charity. I am looking at all options but really think setting up camp after a hard day cycling may be to much. I started training in September 2011 but am really concerned about how much to do. Currently I have cycled around 2500 miles with 80 miles being my longest. Overall excluding stops I am averaging 13.5 mph on a 26in wheel mountain bike with hybrid tyres - I will get a road bike for the trip. How are your plans progressing?
