tips for selling a bike (and worry about theft)
I use a screen reader which speaks out loud, I can't see the words. I've been trying to search the forum for a couple of weeks for some help to questions but it is so difficult as thousands of mails can come up and I just can't listen to the beginnings of all the posts to find a relevant answer. Jus...

Re: the everlasting tyre!
I do always carry everything I need, zefal emergency puncture spray for presta, levers, 2 new tubes, sticky patches etc, co2 x 2 with pump. They are still brand new and unused. Riding in quiet Northumberland I am often quite alone week days but am surprised at weekends when stopped at the top of one...

Re: the everlasting tyre!
I used to be perfectly capable of dealing with all punctures and bike problems but now that I am registered disabled and elderly and do not wish to give up cycling then I must find other alternatives just in case. How lucky people are to still be able to do attend to their own punctures. In all my c...

Re: the everlasting tyre!
The wheel size is 700x28. See original mail. The Specialized tyres which came with the new bike are lovely fast movers. We have bad roads here in North Northumberland and many heavy farm vehicles churning things up. My old bike (same model vita comp) had Spec.Armadillo all conditions over 4 yrs 1 pu...

Re: the everlasting tyre!
Thank you Gentlemen for taking the trouble to your reply. I put in a search for Marathon PLUS and there seem to be two, one called MP London. Also I did not know about the different tyre levers. I have just watched the SJS people on U tube fit a tyre so it would have to be my favourite bike shop to ...

the everlasting tyre!
There is a post from Cachao dated July 2010 regarding Schwalbe tyres 700 x 28 for touring. Having bent arthritic fingers I can no longer deal with a puncture. I have new Specialized Espoir Sport tyres above size. I was not worried about and really looking forward to my soon to be holiday in France a...

Re: North Shields Ferry to IJmuiden (Amsterdam)
Thank you all so much for the maps and information, I really appreciate this as because of a head injury I can't read print and screen readers whilst useful are limited with not great diction so searching can be difficult. I feel less nervous about getting on and off the ferry now. I shall use the '...

North Shields Ferry to IJmuiden (Amsterdam)
This is a disability question. How easy is it to disembark from the ferry and are the cycle path signs obvious at IJmuiden? Does one have to 'turn' handlebars when securing bicycle on ferry? I would like to use the north sea route to meet up with other disabled cyclists at Delft. I am having difficu...
