skidding on a brakeless fixed wheel makes me kill chains normally every 6 months...

I've found that half link chains 'stretch' (lets not get started on chain stretch but you all know what i mean) far worse than normal chains
i do however use a single half link in a normal chain in order to have the shortest wheelbase possible

I've found that being in 'primary' position i.e. in the centre of the lane forces drivers to see you and slow down rather and barge their way past
i also find that chopping the bars down so they are really narrow helps both mentally and physically
