Re: Tubeless Tyres - well impressed!

Admittedly my tyres are new and large volume but they went on dead easy, I never use levers on any tyres anyway. I carry a tube and co2. Can’t think what else I would need out of the ordinary. I have patches should a tube fail. Most tubeless riders I’ve spoken to say the tyres roll better and are mo...

Re: Tubeless Tyres - well impressed!

Schwalbe G- one speed 40mm on 650b. Running pressures 50lb in the front and 55lb in the rear. Ride very well on the road and seem very supple. Yes, it would appear they are a little puncture prone. Having said that they are trimming the hawthorn through the lanes and there’s water and fine gravel ev...

Re: Tubeless Tyres - well impressed!

Maybe, but you need the correct rims, tyres, valves and sealant. If you don’t have them already it’s a hefty price to pay. Which is the reason I’ve never bothered before.

Re: Road 1X - useful or just a fad?

Good point, just can’t understand why people aren’t allowed to get on with their own porridge on here. Doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with their porridge some just like a dollop of syrup whilst others like salt

Tubeless Tyres - well impressed!

Plucked up the courage (and scraped together funds) to fit these to my Gravel bike. Two punctures today, one where I pulled a thorn out, the other a shard of flint. Both times a short spurt of sealant came out then rapidly sealed the hole. Didn’t even stop riding on the second one just kept riding. ...

Re: Road 1X - useful or just a fad?

Could be a fad, who knows. I bought a Cannondale Slate with a single ring, thought it would be useless. I love it!

Re: Specialized plug and play fender (a.k.a. mudguard) rattle

Pretty sure there is a threaded hole under the fork crown. Might need to drill the mudguard to push the bolt through. I took mine off in the summer, lbs fitted them, never rattled.

Re: How to seat a tubeless tyre?

You can try popping a tube in, inflate the tyre to seal the beads then deflate and remove the tube by braking the seal on one side only. If you can get the tyre to seal deflate again carefully and remove the valve core to pour the sealant in. I bought a beto tank - dead easy.

Airnimal Chameleon Tyres

Anyone know a good supplier of tyres and tubes? None of my usual bike shops seem to have that 24 inch size. Ta.
