These are fantastic...

Cheap, stylish (well maybe), easy to get on and perform exactly as advertised.

Rider down in Farnham Common

Wishing Robert all the best and the speediest recovery after his tumble earlier today.

Came across the unfortunate rider (lost a front wheel in slippery conditions) being well looked after by his friends from Richmond. That he was as well as he was after what was clearly a considerable impact (brief loss of consciousness) can only be accounted for by the fact that he was wearing a helmet.

Oh No! that can of worms again...

The deformation on the helmet corresponded exactly to the position of the injury to the rider's head. Without the helmet one could only imagine how much worse it could have been. This was an accident that involved no other road users or vehicles, took place on a quiet residential street, and at speeds entirely appropriate for the road conditions (the other sixteen or so riders were fine).

I will continue to wear mine.

Re: Carradice Nelson & Sport rack

I have been using a Carradice Nelson Longflap (one bag) with a Bagman Sport rack for about two years with no problems.
Whilst Carradice recommend the Expedition rack for this sized bag, I found that there was not enough clearance over my rear wheel/mudguard to accommodate this.
Yes, the bag sags a bit at the sides when unloaded but a little lift allows it to be filled fully. It then sits about 2cm higher than it would on the longer rack.
All saddlebags will tend to swing when loaded but I have not found this to be a problem. I ride single-speed in a fairly hilly area and therefore spend a lot of time standing on the peddles.
I have not tried the newer alloy racks so cannot comment on them other than to agree that they are unsightly.

Re: Wiggle

Touché!
Generally, however, the vast majority of my orders have been processed quickly and correctly. I only highlighted this one because I felt that Wiggle's response once a mistake had been made was very good. I would, of course, have preferred to have received the correct goods from the outset but recognise that simple errors will occur from time to time.

Re: Wiggle - Fantastic service!

I have been a regular customer with Wiggle for many years.
I recently order a pair of Continental GP 4 Season road tyresaaa part of a bundle. I received a pair of Gatorskins. Clearly this was an error in what must be a massive warehouse with an almost unimaginable turnover.
I completed a return form online and within minutes received an (automated) reply. The reply requested that I e-mail customer services with more details. One line was enough. Again, within minutes, a response. A simple request for a photo of the goods received to enable them to confirm and investigate the error. Again minutes later a response to assure me that they would exchange the goods and a promise to refund any postage costs incurred. This was a promise kept.
Total turnaround time: 4 days (from the time of my original order).
Hard to imagine a better service!
