Cube Reaction Hybrid HPA SL 500 Bike 16"

The time has come for me to sell my Ebike.
Over the last nearly four years it has covered just over 9,000 unhurried road miles, it has never been off-road.
It is in very good condition with no dents of scratches.
All components are Shimano XT, hubs, mech, shifter and brakes and in excellent condition.
I bought this new and it has never gone wrong, I have only had to replace parts that wear out, disc pads and chains etc.
I usually ride between 30 and 40 miles when I go out and the battery is still capable of doing this, though I think 50+ would be difficult unless you used eco a lot.
I will be including everything you see in the pictures, that’s new unused tyres, rack and top bag, two in number disc pads, chain and rotor. I can fit any of the spares if you would like me to but it is not necessary at the moment. The tyres have done 6,000 miles and look hardly worn and have never punctured.
The motor is still smooth with no bearing noise as you will see if you come and look at it.
Lots more photos if you’re interested.
£1,200.

Re: Warranty

Many thanks to those that answered my badly worded post, I will try again.
I have a new Trek ebike and it’s fitted with a Sram nx rear mech and sx shifter.
The mech has a reputation of gradually wearing on the pivot and becoming increasingly difficult to keep properly adjusted afterwards. I didn’t like it from the start.
The gears are properly adjusted, and work as intended, which is just not good enough for me as I am used to riding with Shimano xt components which are way better in my opinion.
I found this online regarding the Trek warranty “Installation of components, parts, or accessories not originally intended for or compatible with the bicycle as sold” which sounds like if you do anything to alter the bike as supplied will void the warranty, to me.
I have no idea what would happen if you changed the grips, or chain from standard, would that void it as well?
Apart from the shifting I like the bike very much and pleases I bought it.

Warranty

I picked up my new bike recently, and it’s very nice in most respects.
What I am not so please about is the slightly sloppy gear changing.
If it swap them out for a different make, will it effect my warranty, I think not but would like to be sure before I proceed.

atlas_shrugged wrote:Just to let you all know Brucey has had a stroke and is in hospital.

An angel neighbour raised the alarm about a week ago and the police took the front door off Brucey's house. They found Brucey lying at the rear of the house and the ambulance men estimate that he had been there for about four days.

I went round to Bruceys house this morning after reading this thread last night. I will try and post more information when I have it for you all.

In the meantime would it be possible to switch this thread to positive responses about how to recover from a stroke. Brucey is a legend and one of our national treasures. But please no questions let us get positive suggestions together.

I'm really sorry to hear that and am sure I am speaking for everybody here.
Hope he makes a good recovery very soon.

Cyril, please come back and amuse me.

A 'mentsch', mention, as they used to say on radio one! Diolch yn fawr iawn, the same to you!

Perhaps this quote from Winston Churchill could educate/inform/entertain:
'Running a country is easier than bringing up four children'
Or what another politician said about another politician: 'if one wanted to get close to him, it was best not to get too close to him', that is a good tip for using these fora

Perhaps the 'missing' members are applying another favourite maxim: 'she who does (writes) nothing, can not make a mistake'

Re: pukka pies

Aren’t we being a hit harsh on the humble Pukka Pie here, that costs £1.
I had one tonight with mashed potato and peas, and it was very nice, yes my wife is working.
How many of the “far better” pies mentioned here cost £1

I have this one and it's brilliant.

It doesn't vibrate and stays where you put it, and gives a very clear picture of what's happening behind.

The price of the bike I ordered back in October has risen by £500.
The shop owner being a decent chap, is selling all pre ordered bikes at the original price.
