Re: Why not a campaign for 20mph speed limit in Scotland, like Wales?

Why 20 mph, why not 10 mph .... How many of the accidents that occur in 30 mph areas are caused by vehicles exceeding the speed limit ? So the accident rate will stay the same but the causial vehicles will just be breaking the speed limit by a greater margin ? What does the data say ... after all th...

The best thing that can come of it in my opinion is the disintegration of the two main parties.

The children's faces, 2 weeks ago on a boat trip off Tenerife, as we where surrounded by playful Dolphins ...... they where still reeling from the pilot whales when a huge pile of dolphins played around the boat. It went on for over 20 minutes. The 2 youngest, 9 and 7, where literally speechless ......

Jo Brand to face no action over acid joke, police say https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-48640411 (I see the BBC has this in the entertainment/arts section of its website) Colour me unsurprised. I'm no Brand fan but you'd need to have a fairly big axe to grind to think it was actually an...

Re: Long QT Syndrome Heart Disease.

Seeing the cardiologist on the 5th August. Been given a GTN spray. I cycle 50 - 70 miles most weeks, usually in 3 rides. So i'm getting enough exercise for my age ( 60 ) i believe. I get a tight chest walking up a couple of flights of stairs but no symptoms working up long steep hills, out of the sa...

Re: Transgender woman wins cycling championship

I suspect that most people, wherever they fit, just want to quietly get on with their life. They don't win races, go on TV or seek public office. So you never know about them. The Trans issue seems to be that the tiny amount of Trans people are demanding their rights, usually by trampling all over ...

Re: Petition to raise UK cut-off speed

I test drove a 20mph version while I was on tour in California. Absolutely brilliant - effortless 19mph on the flat. If we are going to get non cyclists using them 20mph seems reasonable. Here we go again .... so it's a motorbike ... non cyclists at 20 mph ? it's a motorbike .. and nothing wrong wi...
