Re: Answer Phone WiFi?

Not used our land-line for quite some time, must be 10 years and I don't even know the number but I can remember the number of the phone at home when I was a kid!
Funny how I can remember that from 50 years ago but I've forgotten an online password I reset on Thursday!!

Yes, it's as if it's all been forgotten about, all the drive through testing centres have been gone a while now.

Re: TV licensing...

Tour De France starts soon! I wonder if Mick F's smart TV is back up and running so he can tune in?
Or maybe he'll go down the Nags head and tell them about his days on the road with his little chopper??

I sent a request to follow the day the link was put on here but its still pending.
Don't know if they changed the route but through worcs, staffs and Shropshire it looked a bad choice of roads.

Re: Speculation and bit coin

Say what you like, I've always earned good money and invested it. The opportunities are there for everyone.
Some people work all their life and then when they get to 60 they haven't got a pot to pass in. I'm 60 in October and going on a 10 day cruise............fantastic!!

Re: Speculation and bit coin

BP Prudhoe Bay shares have done well recently, up 28% in the last month and in 12 months up 371%!! Keep my eye on them all afternoon now just in case they drop too much, although the eldest daughter is fed up of renting. I could buy her a decent house if I sold them now.
Never considered that bitcoin, all a mystery to me.

Re: High cost of joining a cycling event

There's a few of these rides take place here in South Staffordshire, a few weeks ago there was the JCB sportive, £35 entry fee and a tacky medal at the end! Okay it was raising funds for the NSPCC but how what is their CEO's salary? Lord Bamford of JCB is worth billions.
Another one is on this weekend, 'The Compton Care round the Wrekin ride' £25 entry fee for that, couldn't find out their CEO's salary but the head of fund raising is on a salary of £50k!! The ride won't even raise that amount!!
The only ride I take part in is organised by Wolverhampton Wheelers 'Ride for Joe' in memory of Joe Guy who was tragically killed aged 16. £10 entry fee which goes to the air ambulance. There's usually around 400 people take part and it's always rather emotional at the start when the organiser thanks us all for attending. Joe's parents are always at the start and it must be heartbreaking for them.

Re: Hotel in Penzance/Longrock

Out of The Lugger at 0545!
I had a full English there a few years ago in August when the ferry to the Isles of Scilly does a double sailing on Saturdays, it departs at 0630hrs so I called in Sullivans the day before and asked if he could open a bit earlier.
0530hrs I was in there!!

Too right Mick F, and some folk reply to a post within minutes a lot of the time.
Haven't they got anything else better to do all day than sit looking at this forum?
