Re: "Owd Chap" TAKING UP CYCLING

Hi, do you have any of these new fangled cycle lanes or routes near you ? I recently moved but before I had access to the North Wales coast path which was a magnet for cyclists of all ages & abilities + coffee stops. Has your local Cycling UK got an 'Old Timers' section ? Just getting out & ...

Re: Moulton Tyres & Tubes ?

Thank you for the replies, sorry I don't seem to be getting notifications even though I tick for them to come through. I had forgotten St John's Street Cycles & the small tyre shop is one I don't know, so will check them out. I have the Durano's on now & they can be a bit slippery sometimes,...

Moulton Tyres & Tubes ?

I am struggling to get the right size winter tyres ( or just decent tyres ) & tubes for my Moulton TSR.
Using 20 x 1.10 anyone know of suppliers as I have been searching the internet & getting very little joy.

Re: Powys Cycling Groups or Clubs ?

I was in LLandrindod yesterday viewing nearby, I do know of the cycle museum, & have been in that area several times this year.
I guess the paradise of Wales does describe it,

Re: Powys Cycling Groups or Clubs ?

Thanks for the link & reply, I realize its a big area, just thought someone might know of informal groups that ride out.
I have seen signs of cyclists, usually lone ones or in pairs, I guess when I move I will find out more.
Part of my search criteria is 'good cycling area' !

Powys Cycling Groups or Clubs ?

I am hoping to be moving to Powys in the near future & can't seem to find many clubs or informal groups in that area other than for mountain biking. I was going through Newtown a while ago & an event was on & it wasn't a race type one. When I get to some bike shops I will ask but concent...

Re: Chain Length ?

Thank you all for your replies, I did get down & count links yesterday, but will re-check today ! I was hoping a simple solution would be out there , which I guess I found in the end ! I remember years ago when things weren't so complicated ( ha ha ! ) having to put more links in a chain from ne...

Re: Moulton Gearing Advice ?

Thanks all, food for thought ! Yes it is a TSR 30 I have ordered, prefer drop bars, probably won't use the big front ring as I once in a blue moon only do on my present touring bike. The Moulton is a 'needs must' with lack of space if I am using my mini caravan. I had worked out I would like a 34 la...
