I've always thought that cycling in the rain was quicker too. Never thought why it might be the case, just accepted it and enjoyed it, especially if I needed to be somewhere to a deadline.

There is the pedal hanger type of hanger that fixes to the wall and hangs the bike by the... pedal. The two wheels rest on the wall. The bike hangs at an angle from the wall supported mainly by the one pedal, the two wheels restig against the wall. I haven't used mine yet, I'm looking for something ...

Agree, puncture kit keeps the innertube going for ages. Until you get a puncture on a puncture then it seems to go wrong when you try to overlap a patch over the edge of another patch.

When I pull an inner tube out, the more patches already on the tube, the better I feel.

Yes, short urban city rides for me. Just to get around when I don't want to drive or just to get out. Love it, I can't express to my family just how happy cycling makes me feel. Why else would I do the occasional commute to work during the week at 5am in the middle of winter on a clapped-out bike ex...
