Definitely take a helmet-not because of anything to do with Spanish law but simply to look after your safety!! Have rode thousands of miles in all sorts of conditions with helmet always on...and the only time id ever consider not wearing a helmet would be going uphill in intense heat where I hardly ...

100 euro return journey just for my bike?? in my book that is VERY expensive! Just wanted to see what other airline s charged.

Cheapest airline for carrying bikes??

Hi there,
I am in the process of looking at different routes and flights and wondered what peoples experiences are of the costs of carrying bikes...i have just seen that Ryanair is a whopping 50 euros EACH WAY!! Does anyone have any cheaper suggestions??

Annecy is beautiful and within reach of some good climbs Semnoz, Appetez, Forclaz, Col de Pre, Cormet de Roseland and Annecy itself is lovely for the wife!! OK thanks for that, Looks like i may end up scribbling down sites onto my 6 different Michelin 1;200,000 maps then!! Not ideal but am not going down the GPS route...and my phone doesn't even have internet so wi-fi means nothing to me either!! I just wanted a good old fashioned map with campsites on ...

Hi, yeah cycled the last 3 summers in Sardinia, Southern Spain and Northern Spain so used to the heat and we try to start early and finish early although quite like the warm weather!!

Want to stick to the maps so anyone else out there throw any ideas on which is best if wanting campsites??

Hi, thanks for the reply. We Fly out July 19th and return Aug 5th. I am reluctant to get any sort of GPS as, call me old fashioned, i like sitting in cafes and bars mulling over a map and the best way to get to places and also gives you some idea of where you have come from and an appreciation of ex...

Hi, I have just booked my flight into Milan and departing from Palermo in the Summer and now in the process of sorting out the maps for ctcling the length of Italy. I have cycled Spain numerous times and found the Michelin Regional maps 1:400,000 to just about be OK but what i do like it is has camp...
