Collect only and with hub gears, perhaps something like this could fit the bill... http://www.winstanleysbikes.co.uk/produ ... _2012_Bike

Re: Stolen bike on ebay?

You seem to have a real grievance with the seller, and with the sale of this bike in particular - I’d be interested to hear how you get on, after you have reported him, to those that can take it further... Thermostat9 is getting a bit heated about this. Perhaps he should try a lower setting..... :D...

Re: Stolen bike on ebay?

I’m as concerned about stolen bikes as your are - but people like me tend to report it to relevant authorities, rather than broadcast potentially unfounded allegations. Re: David Lloyd 650c Reynolds 731 OS - F & F (photos added)

Beautiful bike. Pretty sure Dave had most of his paintwork done at Argos in Bristol, and on the odd occasion, C&G in Liverpool. I have nothing much to add other than I was the principal studio photographer of Dave Lloyd bikes of that era. He had a tiny workshop in Neston, Wirral and each frame w...

If you don't already, I'd recommend glasses - even the smallest of midges can ruin your day if you eyeball it at 30 mph.

Re: Of a helmet cover that fits the helmet

I have the Carradice Pro Route which is very well made in a sturdy, fairly heavy hi viz pvc and it always stays put on my peaked helmet- it is cut large enough to hook over the front of the peak and down to the bottom of the back of the helmet and the elastic is strong: http://www.carradice.co.uk/i...

Re: Shimano Alfine 11 - Longer term reliability

As an owner of two Alfine 11 speed powered bikes, this has been an interesting read - some of which has been a little scary! :) I don't have much to add, other than to say I really like using mine. I was brought up on Sturmey 3 speeds so have always treated internal hub-gears with kid-gloves, so min...

Re: Courier for sending bike

I use 'Send It Now' for bikes and frames, with collection and delivery being made by Parcelforce.

It's approx £20.00 for next day before 5pm (UK) delivery and I've had no issues so far.
