after three months off the bike my return last week witnessed a really noticeable deterioration of the road surfaces over winter in and around my local area (manchester.) huge patches of broken tarmac and large potholes. the roads seem to have fallen apart this winter and it hasn't been that frosty...

Real name: Rob Age: 42 Live and work in the Forest of Bowland. Bikes: Kinesis Racelight and Fuji Thrill MTB. Just getting into cycling after a 25 year break. Was given the Kinesis by a friend clearing their house - it's in good condition but it's way too small for me (50cm frame and I'm 5'11")....

I had a Geko and it was awful under thick cloud/tree cover compared to a etrex H.

The new etrex is great, it has Glonass, but still is slightly out - a walk out and back in snow/sand will show the track a few feet off. Not good if your looking for a lost set of keys!

It was a bit daft, fair enough remove duplicate signs but route waymarkers and weight limit signs are vital.
