Re: Tryke tyres

I have M+ on my Street Machine Gte and have had for the last 7 years or so. I have in that time only had 1 puncher. The thorn didn't get through the tyre untill I put a heavy trailer on the back 2 days after it entered the tyre. I am not worried about the rolling resistance but in my mind I save tim...

Re: Wheelie useful revelation

I have never been accused of popping a wheelie. I am also not sure why you would unless they thought you had lost your front wheel as well?

Re: Alternative touring?

I would say that the closest recumbent shop to you is in Glasgow and is called Kinetics (http://www.kinetics-online.co.uk/) . Kinetics is run by a gentleman called Ben. I bought a bike from him, he is very knowledgeable and when I was there gave me lots to time and advice. He is also a man who knows...

Shout outs

I was cycling home from work yesterday, on my Street Machine GTE, and was going up hill so my speed wasn't the greatest (mind you I had tired legs yesterday so my speed on the flat wasn't great either) when a driver coming towards me shouts out: "Get a life". I am puzzled as to why I need ...

Parts

I am looking for some Bacchetta steering parts. I have got in touch with the only supplier I know in the UK. They do not have all the parts that I have requested from them. The next delivery is not due for a few weeks. Does anyone know of anywhere else that I may get the parts without having to pay ...

Re: Handlebars

Thanks for the replies. Being a tandem you have to be twice as careful. First, you need to identify the type of headset, so to find what type of stem can be used to rise the handlebars. The bars themselves, may be replaced with a diffrent style, but this may well imply to replace the shifters and br...

Handlebars

My in-laws have a tadem. My FIL rides on the front would like his handlebars to be higher.

I have had a look and the top of the forks and the handle bars are as high as they can go. He would like a more sit up and beg position now he is retired.

How can I get him the position he needs?

Thanks

Re: Buying mudguards

belgiangoth

Have you had a chat to Ben at Kinetics?

He sells the Street Machine from his Glasgow office. He may be able to get a set of HP mudguards for you. If he orders them as part of a bike they are £35 (according to his website) not sure if buying them seperately changes the price though.

Re: 2 Arrests - Attempted Murder of cycling policeman

If you read the report carefully you will notice that the officer had got off his bike before the incident happend therefore he was a pedestrian which means he is more important than a cyclist.

boozyfruits - If you do go for the Adventure HD version are you still going to be able to get it into and out of where you need to park it (I assume you are not leaving it outside in your garden) :?: Its just something to think about as with rheumatoid arthritis you may struggle lifting it onto just...

I have just bought a Hase Pino. Can anyone tell me where I can get a 2 footed stand for it for a decent cost. I don't mind a second d hand one (not that I can find one? I don't need one that will take a lot of weight just be steady whilst I help the rear passenger to stand over the rear crossbar. Th...

New bike

I have extended my bike collection with a Hase Pino. It is a second (at least) hand steel framed version which can be split. I have had it modified. As a bent rider I will always be on the front of the bike. On the back will either be Mrs T or a blind person. I didn't fancy having a blind person ste...
