Since I fitted the latest shimano un series I have had no problems, however I moved from Spain so the bike is n...

Re: Helmets in Spain

The helmet and high vis argument will always be around. People have the right to decide on the risks involved either way.
Personally I always wear both after seeing first hand the outcome of head injurys and the profound effect it can have on families.

Re: Helmets in Spain

Hi, I used to live in Spain, it is law that you wear a helmet in non urban areas, wearing one in the heat actually keeps your head cooler than a cap. Saying that you would be very unlucky to get an on the spot fine as most of the time the policia cannot be bothered. I'd be more concerned about the i...

Re: Rider weight limits?

Re: plantar Fasciitus, I had been off my bike for 8 years and about 18 months ago developed this problem which all but eliminated walking any distance. I was always very lean but the lay off bought me up to a normal weight for my height but the weight increase took its toll and my job involved stan...

Bike protector material

Hi Guys, I am picking up 2 new bikes in a couple of weeks and usually put the bikes flat in the car with the front wheels off, however as these are new does anybody have any recommendations for any material to put between the bikes to stop any scratches until the newness has worn off.
Thanks Rob

Don,t rely on all the canal towpaths to be completed, I rode a section around Sallins a few months ago and struggled on my MTB.

Hi,
Not done the bike tour but I have hired from a local company in Amsterdam and ridden into the countryside, worth a look if you like windmills, clogs and best of all "NO Hills"

Close pass by a Christmas tree

Enjoying my commute home a car passed towing a very wide trailer with about 10 overhanging Christmas trees, so close they brushed against my cycle jacket, thankfully there were no thick branches in them so apart from thinking the usual astonishing etc, laughed it off.
Merry Christmas everybody
