Re: Returning from French cycle tour

Looked at bike express but not availability on the dates I need.
Have ferry booked so just need to get to Zeebrugge. Looking like I'll have to post bike bags to a hotel on the Med and dismantle :-o

Returning from French cycle tour

Hi all, Am hoping someone on here has tried this before and succeeded but...me and my better half are planning on cycling from Zeebrugge to the Med in July. Getting back - with bikes - is proving a bit of a nightmare. I am investigating a sleeper train from Montpellier to Luxembourg, then a couple o...

Re: Lon Las Cymru - 4 or 5 days

I got to Holyhead about lunchtime and just made it to Porthmadog in time for B&B at 7pm. Day 2 to Machynlleth. Big hill to Rhayader and Builth Wells (unpleasant for not obvious reason) on Day 3. Final day all the way to Cardiff Bay. It is hilly after Anglesey but what goes up must come down (fun...

Zeebrugge to 'south of Brussels'

Hi, I'm planning on a coast to coast from Zeebrugge to Narbonne. I am planning on following this... http://www.cyclingeurope.nl/cycling/routes/barcelona/index.php ...which I am hoping to connect with somewhere south of Brussels. Zeebrugge to Ghent seems OK - there's a canal path I think. But does an...

Re: Hub dynamo - charging battery only

Thanks all. To be clear I was suggesting that I just used the dynamo to charge a battery pack. I would charge devices from the battery pack overnight in my tent, safe from thieves and - hopefully - water ingress. Re. E-werk stuff...it looks like I'd need a charger (£95) and a battery (£60) - £150 on...

Hub dynamo - charging battery only

Hi, I have spent a good while perusing old posts but haven't found what I am looking for so... I'm off touring France in the summer. I'll be taking my phone, kindle, maybe even a tablet and I want to charge them. I'll be mainly camping. My current thinking is a dynamo hub (solar is unreliable) linke...

Re: Cycle Campaigning in Leeds

I'm going. Leeds desperately needs better cycle facilities - it's one of the worst cities in the UK.
Something must be done, and sounds like this is it!
