Good point. Another is not to be too quiet when overtaking horses, especially on metalled roads. Shod hooves make quite a noise and some horses get spooked if you overtake them without warning. Unfortunately, this falls foul of the 20-year rule but if you can stall the process for five years, you can establish the right of way as a Bridle Path (other than cycle lanes on roads there is no such thing as a cycle path under English law).

Keep an eye out for cycling gear in Aldi or Lidl. For wet weather, a riding mac might be OK as it has ankle straps.

I thought it was 200 less your age in years, so if you are 30, maximum is 170.
