Re: ** The Brexit Thread ** - 'Brexit Means Brexit'

On 23 June ‘16 every constituency in Scotland voted Remain. On 16 July ‘18 every Tory MP representing a seat in Scotland voted with pro-Hard Brexit and people wonder why we want Independence Exactly! I don't think you are correct in all you say. As far as I've found out so far, the Brexit referendu...

Re: Ranulph Fiennes & Di's Sister.

If they rough the guy up, break his neck in three places then throw him down an embankment I am not sure they'd walk free with just a suspended sentence somehow. But if the more significant injuries, those to the neck, are explainable as unintended when all that was meant was that the victim should...

Re: Northern Ireland

Subject to confirmation on 2018 services - there are the Lough Foyle and Lough Swilly ferries which enable a coastal tour from Causeway Coast & Downhill - Inishowen & Malin Head - Fanad Head and then the coast round to Slieve League, Donegal Town, and then wherever you wish to cross the bord...

Re: Is undertaking the TransAtlanticWay a completely unrealistic & foolish idea for me?

Hi All, I've been a cyclist for most of my life. My mum has never driven and she used to take me around on the back of her bike before I started cycling myself to school etc. from about the age of 7. I grew up in Suffolk and when I was a teenager I would ride for fun on the weekends and during the ...

Re: Route Advice, Bordesley Circus, Birmingham

Not knowing where you're starting from, but I suggest Highgate Road - Walford Road - Golden Hillock Road - Poets Corner - Golden Hillock Road. Option of going through streets off Walford Road towards Small Heath Bridge if Poets Corner is too daunting. I have occasionally ridden homeward across Poets...

Re: ferries trains for Ireland e2e

The closest train stations to Malin Head are Derry/Londonderry and, if the Magilligan - Greencastle ferry service is running, Bellarena. Both stations are not served by direct trains from Dublin. You would need to take a train from Dublin to Belfast, and catch a connecting service to Derry. From Bel...

Re: Scenic route to/from Cork

Since you will be visiting Cork anyhow, you might like to consider West Cork for touring. The three peninsulas, (Mizzen, Sheeps Head, and Beara) are all excellent. Indeed. Enjoy the South West Cork coastline and the three peninsulas. http://cycleireland.ie/wp-content/gallery/kenmare-healy-pass-loop...

Any decent LBS should be able to sell you one, or various on-line retailers as others have said.

Re: Solo Etiquette

St. Fagans has been recommended to me many times over and is certainly on my list. I have a free Saturday and Sunday in Cardiff. I was hoping to catch a Cardiff City pre-season game (looks like this past year they had a game on the same weekend) but am not counting on it. If there is, that will det...

Re: How do I get to St Malo from US?

Ryanair provide direct flights from London Stansted to Dinard which is around ten miles from St Malo. I have no idea what sort of pain you might experience getting bikes from Heathrow into London - I expect there's a thread on the subject somewhere. I've had occasional problems with the gate staff a...
