I have a British Eagle Touristique, bought from new in 1992, when I think the original BE cycles (Newtown, Powys) was already in administration. It also has the same 'LB-01' mark on the BB. I did wonder whether it was 10-87, but to me the "8" looks more like a "B" as it seems to ...

Most DCs are fast, it's the high traffic density scenario which I would say ramps up the risk for any cyclists. Mixing it with HGVs being overtaken by a stream of light vehicles at 70mph+, is something I wouldn't touch with barge pole on a bike. I have been known to do short sections of DC on A-road...

Thanks mjr. Hi Richard, now that I'm doing more tracks, bridleways and byways, I find I often can't use cycle.travel to plan - even with 'Paths and roads' toggled on. It just won't let me select certain routes - which is a shame, even if I try and 'force' a route by adding dense via pins. e.g. https...
