Not for me! Its resurrection prodded me into fitting some SKS stays onto the front guard of my shopping bike

Re: Downslink Closure - March 2024

Just been informed by WSCC
that the closure has been delayed due to unforeseen circumstances. The works should now go-ahead next week and the closure will be put in to place. As always, the notices will be positions at a large number of locations along the Downslink.

Just by coincidence I rode the section from Bramber to Shoreham for the first time yesterday. I didn't notice any obvious problems with the riverbank as I was more focussed on how high the Adur had risen.
You can't really see the problem from the path. The work is for 'emergency revetment and surfacing works': revetment is what stops the bank falling into the river where it's scoured on the outside of the bend.

Downslink Closure - March 2024

See notice: works to repair the river bank!

I'd suggest using the Coombes Road between the South Downs Way and Shoreham toll bridge, rather than the A283

"new" because all the body panels apart from the roof are new, new interior and more driver aids.

But still weighs less than a tonne, whereas the rival Citroen e-C3 is 1.5 tonnes. Also the Dacia claims a top of the league 4.5 miles per KwH.
For most people this is all you really need.
If the wheel arch gap translates to long stroke 'French' suspension then it's what you need for the current state of our highways

Fitting an outer bash guard sorted my (then) new 1x8 build, but try the existing front mech first!

Based on my experiences with a rear suspended 20" ICE 'S', likewise ICE 'T', and unsuspended 26" ICE Sprint, I'd want suspension with a 20" rear wheel, but I've never been convinced by the added complexity of suspended fronts on a tadpole.

Extra weather protection, yes, but extra side-wind sensitivity too, which combined with higher speeds can get too exciting ;)

Not silicon spray either, IME: use proper cable grease for cables! More reading (and opinions) here ;)

I'm surprised that they chose choice rather than health or harm reduction for the headline.
I'm not: IMHO choice is a good riposte to the 'war on the motorist' rhetoric and something many folk get excised about.
