Re: Lidl camping mat

The only cheap thing I would buy is a hammock ( £12 or so?) made from so called parachute silk that is quite strong. That is part of my standard away day gear now and is quite small. find a couple of trees and in a minute have some where to have a snooze. The only thing that does need replacing on t...

Re: Simple childhood pleasures

Re: Lidl camping mat

I am rather cynical about any cheap air bed or self inflatable. Whats important is the material they are made of to be able to take the folding/unfolding without the material creasing and weakening and punctures delvelop. The material has to be rather special to stand up to that for any length of us...

Suntanning saloons Is there anything more unnecessary? Never been to one mind, can't stop using them. Can one only "boycott" something one has used? You clearly need to use one once, so that you can then boycott them and never use them again. I'm surprised you hadn't thought of that. I re...

The trouble with letting a LBS do the work is you have to get the bike there ( not too hard if the bike is rideable, but what if it isnt? ) and then you have to get home. Nice if you drive a car that it also large enough to transport the bike but what if you don't have a car? ( like me ) All the mo...
