Re: Front Mech issues

Is all Shimano stuff compatible - 2005 tiagra stuff with today's parts. Looks like the mech is £19 and for that I don't want to spend hours on something that might not come out

Front Mech issues

I've got a 2005ish bike with 9 speed Tiagra (triple). One of the adjustment screws on the front mech is stuck solid. What do I need as a replacement? It's a braze on

Re: Has anyone ever cycled in a 'Criterium' ?

I didn't imagine that anything like this would happen around Aberystwyth, but I'm really looking forwards to it, especially if its a warm day near the sea. It does seem to have a bit of a retro feel about it. Wonder if there'll be anyone kitted out in retro gear, get a bike from the Cycle Museum and...

Has anyone ever cycled in a 'Criterium' ?

I was looking at a local councilors blog and noticed that there are going to be street races in Aberystwyth sometime in June. Has anyone had experience of doing this sort of thing? This is nothing to do with me at all, but looked interesting: http://bronglais.blogspot.com/2010/05/continental-cycling...

Cycling Shoes - Newbie

Can anyone suggest a cheapish pair, I've got some decent SPD pedals, but want to try out cycling with them to see what its like.

Second hand is OK too, but I take size 46... Any recommendations.

Re: Dawes Horizon - suitable for full touring?

I've recently been tracking the prices of Dawes Galaxies & Raleigh Randonneurs on ebay for several weeks, before buying one. Dawes Galaxies are of a similar quality & spec to Raleigh Randonneurs. The Galaxies in good condition go for £300-500 on ebay but the Randonneurs seem to be £200/250 ...

Re: Anyone remember those gear levers that fit on hoods?

I think that the Kelly ones are the ones I was looking for. I was looking for a cheaper alternative to the Soras that have exploded. Wonder if you can use Campag with Shimano, or something else?
