Re: Should a surgeon be allowed to "tattoo" his patients?

Re: Why "womans cycling interests"

Re: Lord Heseltine gets five points?

I think we need Mr Heseltine now, remember how he wielded the mace once in the House of Commons?

I think he has some alternative views about leaving the EU

Re: 2017 Vuelta (spoilers post-highlights please)

With (possible) exception of Lemond no one seriously believes that any leading Grand Tour winners did it clean. TdF and Vuelta in one season? Says it all really. (Not that it detracts from the achievements IMO). Believes? No-one knows, I surely do not and can not know Wearing long sleeves is very a...

Re: Is it OK to stop traffic with a Pelican/Toucan?

Yes, always press the button to slow down the terrorists whether one wants to cross, join the road or not

ALWAYS press the button!

Also after crossing, wait a moment till the light is red again, hit the button, the next people who want to walk across will not have to wait so long then

Re: Obsessing...

I suspect most would find a phantom chain oiler at bit creepy...... I know how you feel, though, and I was sorely tempted recently to use an Allen key to turn the stem around on a brand new Carrera Subway parked outside my local Asda so that the disc brake was on the left , not the right, and...

Re: Porridge: love or hate?

I find that if I make it and put it in a bigger bowl than usual, invert myself and carefully lower my head into it, it makes a more than acceptable helmet after a couple of hours or so. You may have seen me prototyping using a microwave last week. I'm now working on including some hi-viz in the por...

Re: Room 101

Thinking of housing issues. I'd like to put in all private building companies smug estate names. The sycamores The pines The copse Harbour view The orchids All the names derived from what they've destroyed to build their sh*tty houses. It also goes back to the 70's where people aspired to move to &...

Re: Snow?

We've had snow on the ground for about 3 weeks now. But you are also quite capable of dealing with it... You say that but I know someone who had the misfortune to be in Finland when they had their first heavy snow of the winter, earlier than most years. They completely failed to cope with man...
