Bike rack for Mini Cooper S R53?

Hello,

Can anyone recommend a bike rack for the Mini Cooper S R53? It's the Mini with the exhausts right in the centre of the rear bumper.

Many thanks.

Re: Arthur Caygill 631 touring framset

Hello, I've lots of parts to build into a suitable, affordable light to medium touring bike and am looking for a frameset other than the Spa Cycles ones. May I ask why you don't prefer a Spa? - Just curious, certainly not criticising..... we all like a choice. interestingly looking at the Caygill t...

Re: Arthur Caygill 631 touring framset

I came across these 'Howgill' framesets for sale on ebay yesterday, seller in Preston. Described as : 'Howgill Touring Frame Reynolds 725 Chrome-Moly Steel Fork 531'. It has stainless steel drop-outs similar to a Hewitt Cheviot SE. Available in small/medium /large and four different colours, there ...

Arthur Caygill 631 touring framset

Hello, Does anyone have experience of building a tourer using this frameset? https://www.arthurcaygillcycles.co.uk/product/caygill-reynolds-631-steel-frameset#.X4MtXdBKiXc Is this the same frame as the Ghyllside touring frameset? If you've built one of these bikes, how does it ride and would you rec...

Spa Elan frame vs Trek FX2 2018 geometry?

Hello, To keep it simple, I see Spa now have the steel 725 framed Elan for sale and for sizing considerations I was wondering how comparable it is with my alloy workhorse, commuter machine of 2 years. https://geometrygeeks.bike/compare/trek-fx-2-disc-2018-l-20-in,spa-cycles-elan-2017-54/ If I didn't...

Re: Lighter Spa Touring build

Not build a spa audax but have both a Raleigh special products division 531 audax and a British eagle 501 framed bike and both are transformed by modern wheels. I've got both Shimano r550 and rs10 and they ride so much lighter than with 32h plain Jane wheels. A good set of handbuilt wheels from spa...

Re: Lighter Spa Touring build

Hello, Has anyone built a lighter weight Spa Tour frameset build for audax? If so, any info on how this has worked out would be very welcome. Thanks, NTT Not a Spa, but I went n-1 a couple of years ago and sold my SOMA Audax bike and built up my Hewitt tourer in Audax spec. I'm no lightweight so ha...

Re: £800 bike

Thanks again to everyone for their very useful contributions to this post. After much consideration I am pretty set on the 2017 Ridgeback Voyage, for various reasons. Just before I do though, would it be silly to over-look this Roux bike? http://www.bikes2udirect.com/B7643.html Seems great value and...

Re: £800 bike

Will the Ridgeback Voyage be ok for having a go at a 200k Audax later this year, or would it be too heavy duty for this?

Thanks newtotouring.

Re: £800 bike

TrevA - I wish I could afford them both 🚴

Theyre both really nice bikes. I like the low gearing on the Ridgeback but love the look of the Specialized Diverge :)

Re: £800 bike

Thanks again to everyone for their contributions.

I like the look of that Ridgeback Voyage, nice low gearing.

Does anyone know what the biggest tyre you could get on there is?

Would 35mm fit?

Thanks again.
