Re: Cycle Travel question!

It's hardcoded, I think to 15mph though not sure. I didn't know anyone actually used those times for anything, I just put something approximate in because the TCX format squawks if you don't include it! I'll look and see if it's possible to use your preferred speed. I suspect it may be beyond your ...

Re: Cycle Travel question!

New question: May not be a cycle.travel issue, maybe a Garmin issue. But, when I create a course on cycle.travel, export it as tcx course and load it to my Garmin 1030 via Garmin Connect website then via Garmin Connect on my iPhone all is good and works well except the "time remaining" se...

Re: ** The Brexit Thread ** - 'Brexit Means Brexit'

With all this talk from Conservative Leadership contenders about a "No Deal" it struck me that people (or leadership candidates) seem to have forgotten that the payment included as part of that deal is the UK honouring its commitments not us "buying" anything. So if we go "N...

I think it is now more a question as to who isn't standing. Is is true that Beyoncé is now standing?

Re: ** The Brexit Thread ** - 'Brexit Means Brexit'

I asked hundreds(?) of pages back, what would all you Remain folk want? The Leave people are clear - leave in accordance with the referendum - though not clear on how of course, and that's the sticking point. ... But does that mean Leave the Single Market? or ending Freedom of Movement? or leaving ...

Re: Archie's Camping??

I've found Archies a fantastic resource. I use the gpx downloadable fines which I load to my iPhone & iPad and load into MapOut (offline mapping app). That way it all works offline and is fast. I do also have the Archies app loaded but (on iPhones/iPads) that only works online so is less useful ...

Re: ** The Brexit Thread ** - 'Brexit Means Brexit'

The decline of the car industry has nothing to do with brexit, good to see you are using biased free links just like I did earlier. The motor industry makes this claim. Perhaps you know something they don't. The motor industry stockpiled and shut down expecting Brexit at the end of March. It never ...

Re: ** The Brexit Thread ** - 'Brexit Means Brexit'

The EU have taken the next step in shutting down any possibility of re-opening the "deal". Appart from them all repeatedly saying the deal cannot be re-opened, now they are closing down the group that negotiated the deal. Brexit: EU breaks up team that negotiated May’s deal in clear sign i...

Re: BIG AGNES Copper Spur HV UL2 - Any Opinions?

Have a great trip Ian, sounds like you've got some good adventure ahead of you. I've ridden few bits of EV6, from Besançon to Stein-am-Rhein and Passau to Vienna. The Danube section was lovely, particularly the Wachau around Melk and Krems. You might even arrive at the perfect time for the apricot ...

Re: BIG AGNES Copper Spur HV UL2 - Any Opinions?

I've had never ending things delaying my departure (beyond my control, like "wading through treacle" trying to get things sorted with Mum's hospital consultant). I'm thinking I might have left it too late to head out that way as if I did I'd want to get to the Black Sea and then things co...

Eventually went for the new MSR Hubba Hubba 2 Shield. Enjoy your tour! Don't know about the French part, but I loved my stretch along the Danube. I've had never ending things delaying my departure (beyond my control, like "wading through treacle" trying to get things sorted with Mum's hos...
