Re: Max Heart Rate (Setting & Meaning)

Those variations must be disappointing. I’ve used a monitor for 30 yrs using chest straps Sunto , Wahoo, and latterly a Polar H10. A few years ago I tried a wrist Scosche and was very disappointed with it. So much so I got my money back.
Around a year ago I got an Apple Watch 8 and was very sceptical about its HR capability. For a few weeks I’d also wear my Polar chest on rides and I’d compare the figures. Nothing more than one beat between them and agreed with each other for entire rides. The Polar chest strap now sits on a shelf. I should Ebay it.

Sniping software is cleverer than the punters who think they can outgame the system by frantically upping their maximum bid in the final moments of the auction.
Yes but is it’s bid so late that EBay’s automated bid hasn’t time to work? I doubt it.

Recently featured on GCN a double front disc which they liked a lot.

That's not how auctions work though.

In fact if I saw someone stick a bid of £30 on it straight away, I'd assume it was some sort of troll or bot.
That’s not how Ebay works. Ebay puts on automatic bids for the buyer. You as the seller will only see my highest bid and never my maximum.
When you're ready to bid on an auction listing, enter the maximum amount you'd like to pay for the item and select Place bid. We'll then bid in increments on your behalf – enough to keep you in the lead, but only up to your limit.
If you are selling and saw the item jump from £5 to £30 that’s because someone else had bid £29.

Re: Max Heart Rate (Setting & Meaning)

I can’t comment at all about anything Garmin.
With my Apple Watch my cycling is always 4 cal/ minute, playing badminton is always 5 cals/ minute.
Max HR playing badminton is usually 134, Max HR cycling is never above 124 At some point a spike registered around 170 and if I were to allow AW to set the zones then it uses this spike and makes zones useless. I’ve edited my zones to a max of 134 and a min of 42 and all feels right.

There's no doubt that costs will increase for certain goods, but "The new food import control model is not all bad. Good people have been working very hard, for many years to try and find innovations. The explicit commitment to a risk-based categorisation of foods means that vast amounts of foods will be classified as low risk, mainly fruits and vegetables, and shelf stable products. By volume, this will be most imports. Importers of low-risk goods will have to do less certification and face low to zero inspections at the UK border."
Why is it 'good people' can’t see that high risk foods will now be hidden within low risk consignments? :D

Re: Train Glasgow to Pitlochry Return

Your date in June won’t be up yet.
I’ve just tried an April date £10.40 and two bike spaces available.

There’s also Citylink coach but they only take one bike in one of their socks.

One of the features of Komoot is to zoom into the map and click on those little green dots. Photo evidence of the track condition.
