Bachetta Giro for Sale - Sold

Sadly I have to sell my Bachetta Giro 20 Recumbent. Its not got the use it deserves - but the combination of heavy traffic, big hills, and recovery from a back injury - means its hardly getting used. I am not wealthy enough to have such an expensive bike sitting idle in my garage! The bike itself ha...

Re: New 'bent

You've beaten me to the commute. Not sure if I am ready to battle the rush hour in Birmingham. I may ride in as I go before the traffic starts and catch the train out of the city centre. I wonder what it is like using a bent on a train Ive been at this stage for a year .....fine riding the thing .....

Re taping a Bacchetta Giro Bar ?

The rear brake cable isn't sitting neatly into the guide - which is impairing braking performance - and good brakes are vital on these death traps..... I need to get the whole cable out and re seat it - assuming the bar tape isn't re usable any recommendations of what tape to use - and how much will...

Re: Why do you Ride a Bent

Does anyone else think there's a touch of extroversion required to be a recumbent rider? If we weren't out riding, we might well be doing karaoke, streaking or entering the local gurning competitions. Just excercise and keeping fit for me - I look on it as an alternative to doing a very bori...

Re: Why do you Ride a Bent

Odd - I don't get any abuse at all, quite the opposite. Ah but do you do a good bit of your riding through deprived parts of Birmingham? I did get lots of positive comments too. And if I lived out in the countryside I might well have another....but I find it doesn't go well with the "I don't k...

Drivers on Phones - What Can we do ?

Hope no one minds this here - this issue affects everyone, not just cyclists, but pedestrains , other drivers. People on there phones driving is a menace - whats more its totally uneccesary - a couple of things that have really got my goat recently:- 1.On a 5 mile 20 minute car journey - I counted 7...

Why do you Ride a Bent

I’m here as I have the most stupid injury - where my hamstring joins my pelvis - It makes sitting on any hard surface uncomfortable - and 25 miles is as much as I can manage on a bike...and then I couldn’t ride day in day out….
So I thought Id give recumbents a try
Why are you here?
