Hallo - my husband and I are considering cycling in Ireland on the west coast for our summer holiday in september has any one been there and done this any advice please many thanks

Yes there is so much to see there, historical and cultural, brilliant place for a cycling holiday. It was was my first cycle tour ever when we left our house in Poole and got on the ferry to Cherbourg a few years ago and it turned out to be full of surprises and fun. Can't wait!

Thanks for all the replies. Helped me decide - we (husband and I) will go via St Vaast La Hogue again. Last time we encountered lots of D Day revelry - people dressed up, old vehicles - it was like being in 1945, at first I kept remarking that french people liked dressing up. :lol: :lol: Love all the photos. My bike is a creme cycle with a sturdy front rack for the basket which to be honest I have just tied on with flimsy straps. I will look at the basil basket seems the most straightforward solution. Thanks for the photos!

cargo bike for dog transport?

I am looking for a way to take my westie cycling.Got a front basket, she fits in happily but too heavy for me to control it fully - a bit dangerous. I looking at cargo bikes now (want to taker her to france) any suggestions? Is that taking a hammer to crack a nut, is there something easier out there.
