Fairly or not she was criticised for delaying her visit for 8 days though.

For the avoidance of doubt, the Chair will be guided by the evidence that emerges throughout the Inquiry and this Completed List of Issues will not bind the Chair to investigate only those issues set out therein or necessarily to investigate a listed issue irrespective of the sufficiency of evidence that is identified.

This is what we reckon we're going to look at but tbh we're going to play it by ear as we hear what people have to say.

deeferdonk wrote: 13 Mar 2024, 11:29am More perplexing to me is when you see a couple of other bidders have a bit of a bidding war when there's still a week/ages left on the auction, driving up the price early on. Why don't you just wait till closer to the end and/or put your max bid in?
Are you sure they want to win it? What's to stop a seller using a second account to force the price ever upwards?
Shill bidding, as it's called, is quite prevalent on eBay, which doesn't seem to do much to control it (by repute)

Might as well say Putin has to face free and fair elections, comply with the Constitution. Trump has sufficient armed support, militia, police, armed forces, to do whatever he wants. Coppers and grunts not known for their liberal, democratic, stand points.
If that were the case the 6th January insurrection would have turned out very differently.

Worth keeping an eye on the current tussle for ownership of the Telegraph. News Agents has covered it in the last couple of weeks.

Bid the maximum you're prepared to pay at first instance and let nature take its course, as it were.

Maybe joining/starting a Science Park Cycle User Group?
Yes, try to work with a group, either existing or new.

And find a friendly local journalist.

The local Parish Council is a good point of call. We/ours have worked with numbers of landowners to improve PROWs

I went to one in Bristol (possibly the last pre-Covid?). Enjoyed it enormously - a really cosy venue, lots of interesting people selling shiny and/or weird sh... stuff. Good talks too (anyone heard of Chris King??)
We may have been at the same one. I made a mental note to grow a beard before going again :D

Shiny stuff, beautifully crafted in the main.

I'll be interested to see any concrete evidence that comes forward as opposed to conjecture, so please post it, but in the meantime I'm signing out of this thread thanks.

I'm sorry you are offended by my saying what I see. Might I suggest you examine your own posting style once you are over the upset.

Re: Dr Ranson vs. Isle of Man government

To continue to assert this is analogous to the long-term fraud and criminality committed by two organisations at all levels against the SPMs up to and including the jailing and bankrupting of people they knew to be innocent is risible and insulting to the SPMs.

The links you posted regarding this scandal (which it was, and which exposed weaknesses of governance) are mainly post-event politicking which accompanies events like this.

You made a number of statements which were hyperbolic, and demonstrably so, as I illustrated at the time.

I have no axe to grind either way, but I suspect you do, which may be clouding your judgement somewhat.

Absolutely -- if you bother to read the links they all have links to the Ranson case except the one about a vote of no confidence in the government and calls for Canon to resign and even that is brought on by the unnecessary spending to defend the government position which everyone knows is untenable, while cutting regional council budgets.
They are links to political machinations in the IoM. I'm more compelled by a KC's very detailed report on the matter.

Yeah but sacking not quacking -- though the same fate seems to befall anyone who questions the government about spending another 1.5 million on a review by an "independent" KC in yet another attempt to get public confidence back in this administration.

Her advocate hasn't lasted long either when she wanted to do a bit of quacking too.
