Re: Dura Ace 9 Speed Bar End Shifters

I've got a brand new unused retail boxed pair of Dura Ace SL-BS77. Comes with cable stops, inner cables, outer cables etc. I'm never going to need to go beyond 8 speed as I have enough spare levers and custom cassettes to last me out  £65 inc post (no offers :( ) Click on images for larger ve...

Dura Ace 9 Speed Bar End Shifters **Sorted Thanks**

After some Dura Ace, 9 speed Bar end shifters.. Anyone got a pair in good condition? Would be even better if they came with some downtube cable stops..

Regards

Re: Compatible Front mech for M8000 XT Chainset

The one you've order is a front pull whereas the photo of tqhe XT in the OP is bottom pull, that's OK if you're aware of it as the Vagabond will cope with either but you'll need a straight through outer cable for the front mech you've ordered. Just noticed reohn, the main title on link says front pu...

Re: Compatible Front mech for M8000 XT Chainset

Thanks for that reohn... So I will have to run the gear cable with outer another route from the current one along the downtube & under the bottom bracket.. Nothing ever straight forward when your mechanical skills are at best basic!!

Re: Compatible Front mech for M8000 XT Chainset

Hello thelawnet!! Many thanks for the information provided. Very helpful indeed & I'm going to have a browse online for a FD-M8000-H. Am I right in thinking this mech will be OK for my cable routing type ? Gear cable runs under the down tube & through a plastic mount under the bb shell.. I h...

Re: Compatible Front mech for M8000 XT Chainset

Also whilst I'm at it, I have 2 spacers on the drive side hollowtech 2 bottom bracket & noticed I might be able to remove one & still have enough room for the small ring to not catch the chainstay..Or should I keep 2 spacers on ??

Re: XT M8000 triple with a 9 speed chain??

Thanks Brucey... Going off topic, I run a 9 speed triple deore, with a deore rear mech & dura ace bar end shifters.. Local cycle mechanic told me the shifters would not index properly with the deore mech..It shifts flawlessly. Noticed on shimano's info it said use a certain type of chain only fo...

Re: XT M8000 triple with a 9 speed chain??

You might find a greater tendency for the chain to rub on the adjacent chainring when cross chaining, as a 9-speed chain is about 1mm wider across the rivets. But if you're replacing the chain at the same time, no reason that you can't use an 11s chain with a 9s cassette - the internal width is the...
