Re: Horns
Sadly I find that my voice, nor my chirpy electric horn, regularly have no effect on pedestrians that walk across the road without looking that love to be the latest addition to the front of my cycle.
Oblivious to the danger that they are putting themselves in, I often find a quick blast of a 120dB air horn eventually brings the darling lemmings to their senses.

Re: Speedmachine
I struggled with my SM and subsequently sold it on (fortunately breaking even after the restoration and improvements I made).
I'm sure that others may have no problem but I found other two-wheel recumbents easier to ride and balance. If interested, any chance of going to have a try?

Report him/her to the authority responsible for that road.

Re: Brachytherapy - prostate cancer and cycling
Sorry, meant to reply to this a couple of weeks ago but it slipped my mind.
I had a word with a consultant who does these procedures (I occasionally help out...) who stated that there is no danger of dislodging the seeds or doing any damage. Naturally though, due to the multiple puncture sites 'underneath', you may feel sore. Basically, cycle as you feel able.
Hopefully this will put anybody else's mind at ease.

Re: Undercover police
Having had dealings with this group in their early days (and involved in some of their activities), I can understand actually why the police may have had an interest in them.

I presume he was the chap who built the front SON dynohub wheel for the Mad Weeble and who patiently dealt with my wife who was sorting it out as a Christmas present for me.
