Re: Spa Audax build photos
Very nice build, looks almost like a horizontal top tube. Do agree with Brucey about the quill stem.

Re: Buying advice - Canyon Endurace or Ultimate
The stack and reach ratios on the Ultimate and Endurace are different, making the Endurace more upright, so I suppose this might make it a slower bike. I ride an Endurace and don't find it a particularly slow bike, but then I've not ridden an Ultimate to obtain a comparison. I agree the Ultimate is ...

Re: Continental tyre degrading UPDATE,
Now running on GP5000 which so far are quite impressive for rolling resistance and grip. I don’t doubt they’re noticeably faster than the Grand Prix 4-Season, but how are you ascertaining the good grip? Nothing scientific I'm afraid, they just feel more gripper in the corners in the same way that t...

Re: Continental tyre degrading UPDATE,
IMG_20190401_125947.jpg Does anyone have any views on why a pair of Continental Four Seasons tyres should degrade like this, after 12 months and approx 3000km. Both tyres on both sides are affected. I returned the tyres to Continental last Friday through the retailer Sigma Sports, full credit recei...

Re: Hilary Stone
I'm afraid your experience with Hilary Stone is all too familiar. From my own experience I find it's best to call him on his mobile number. On the plus side I find him pleasant to talk to, very knowledgable and he has loads of reasonably priced stuff. PayPal is probably the best payment option, if a...

Metres climbed ?
This morning I rode an undulating 33miles around Windsor Great Park and Chobham Common. Back home the Garmin Edge 25 says I climbed 263 metres, uploaded to Garmin Connect and its now 276 metres. Strava running separately on my iPhone says 376 metres. Uploaded to Ride with GPS (which takes the data f...

Re: Mechanical Doping / e-bikes in Cyclocross
Why would a member of your team take an illegal bike to a World Championship event? Smoke, fire, and all that stuff!

Re: RSPB Garden Birdwatch
I did my garden watch yesterday, quite a few of the regulars failed to turn up, as usual. But I did have a Red Kite circling overhead as a bonus.

Re: Garmin Edge 200 - That Black Bar...
I don't think there are any screen display options on the Garmin 200. You will need Garmin 500 upwards for that.

Re: brake disc vs brake disk
As Brucey says, disc brakes were a British invention (Dunlop I think) and that is the correct spelling. I find the spelling of brake calliper instead of brake caliper equally annoying.

Re: Look pedal bearings
I've done 12,000 kilometres on a pair of Look Keo's with no problems at all, perhaps you should return them under warranty ?
