Re: Any experience of Merida carbon frames?

Thanks Jim, right across the road from me is a LBS and the Merida has been on sale there, £500 off this week I've reserved it and will be buying through CTW so some big saving. It is odd that some bikes can be reviewed to death and in many mags but loads of others are missed altogether, depends how ...

Re: A warning on roof cycle carriers

I can get my Forme 54cm CX into the back of my Ford C Max the front wheel tucks down behind the front seat. With juggling I can also leave one of the rear seats up too. I would like to have a look at the Ford Tournea Connect, a bit van like but masses of headroom and length.

A warning on roof cycle carriers

Drivers on the M56 had a lucky escape on Sunday morning. I was passed by a saloon car (Jaguar), I was doing 70mph, it had 4 full bikes on the roof, I noticed it particularly as I've been looking at cycle racks for my car. 5 miles up the road all the traffic came to an abrupt halt to avoid a bike (re...

In support of the local bike shop

I bought my Forme bike from a large cycle shop after seeing it advertised on line. My LBS was doing some great deals too but never the right bike or the right size! I have the advantage of looking out of my office window straight at the LBS on the other side of the road. I noticed yesterday that the...

Re: Cracked head tube

Thank you for your reply, the bike is up for £299 and is by a maker/shop called Perna. I originally asked for a photo of a suspicious looking mark/crack on the lower end of the head. I really liked the bike but best to wait and find something sound.

Cracked head tube

Hi all, I've just got back into cycling and bought a new Forme Calver sport that I use for work commuting and all other rides at the moment. I need the CX as my commute involves some rough track along the Trans Pennine Way. I'm now interested in buying a road bike, I really like the one on in the pi...
