My policy is not to book the bike. But bundle it on the train. Then tell them if asked the bike booking didn't work

A mtn bike helmet usually has a peak from the Sun. They are all vented to keep cool.

Re: GPS device advice

I have used the etrex20 with turn by turn notifications, it was sometimes Laggy when I needed a quick response at a turn. This was mainly due to having large gpx files and the device struggling to compute in time. Also I often would go off route because I would pass through a junction the wrong way ...

Re: What do people use for GPS backup on tours

The last trip I took one phone for GPS and my main phone for backup. Then I took paper maps. I only used my main phone with backup charger

Re: B&M dynamo lights- are they worth the extra ££s?

The brighter the lights the less eye strain and the faster you can go. I have the bm 100luxos lights which really light up the road. The do place the light on floor both in front and far away. It seems that although some of the Chinese lights are brighter they just put a splurge of light on the floo...

Re: Spa Dynamo & Wheel Bundle

Hi, I bought my SP hub from Trident cycles and it's gone faulty. Thankfully it's a 2year guarantee. I sent the wheel back to the shop and they are doing the rest.
OK it cost more to send a wheel but I don't have to pay for wheel rebuilding, and SP were happy with this as they could test it in situ.

Re: Looking for rider(s) to do LEJOG or JOGLE starting mid J

We had a great trip, only problem was that I wore out both tyres. I did have a spare but the second one was a problem.
Fortunately a cycle hire shop was outside our hostel who managed to sell me a tyre.
