Re: Name Change?

Well that's a shock - the CTC is no more, relegated just like that to history as it is re-branded as Cycling UK. Why not Easy Cycling UK, Touring Cycling UK or, I know, The Cyclist's Touring Club ? I can see the reasoning - it is to compete with those cheeky racers in the British Cycling Federation ...

Re: Tandem riding in the West Midlands

I was with you until you said the person needed to store the tandem - I already have two tandems in my bedroom so space is short !

Re: Moulton APB

Nope, my TSR brochure is one of those old fashioned printed paper ones !
However, if you try http://www.moultonbicycles.co.uk then you should be able to find the TSR9 specification.
Happy cycling but watch out for Moulton Wheel size pot holes !

Re: Bike parts swop in the Bristol area?

You could try the cyclejumbles listed on www.campyoldy.com, although they're at least an hour's drive from Bristol :?

Re: Better for bikes? Norwich or Leicester?

I organised a student bike ride out to Six Hills Kart racing track once :D Thought I had a tennis ball stuck to my back afterwards in bed - I'd bruised it on the back of the Kart seat  Glad to hear Spokes still exist. Such groups tend to be a mixture between a social rides group and a campaigni...

Re: Better for bikes? Norwich or Leicester?

I never cycled down New Walk, as an experienced cyclist using London Road instead which was a lot faster, at least in the downhill direction ! I do remember hammering upon the roof of one car that cut me up when going up London Road once, to no avail. My memories of New Walk mainly consist of going ...

Re: Clubmate knocked off his bike

Another car drove into my car once and afterwards the occupants said they were fine, only to claim later via their insurers that two of them had gone to hospital later that week and been fitted with neck braces :!: Presumably that was a case of them trying it on, so to speak, to try and claim compen...

Re: Smelly cyclists ejected from pub

I see the newspaper website has closed comments on the episode - a shame as it's about time any disgusting prejudice against cyclists like this are stamped on hard. I'm glad their doomed establishment is only on the edge of the New Forest and it's probable future closure if they carry on with their ...

Re: Clubmate collision

What's this rule about the CTC solicitors only handling cases above £5,000 ? Does that mean I'm no longer covered for "accidents" like the one in 1987 when I was driven into by a drunk driver, buckling my front wheel, breaking my collarbone and badly bruising my hip so I could hardly walk ...
