Re: crab hand

As Paulatic said hands and fingers pain may well be exacerbated by the gloves. I ditched mine after the first hour of each ride, and did shake out my wrists on a regular basis

Re: Which part of you hurts most on a LEJOG?

A good saddle (Brooks B17)and sudocrem helped me.....
I found the most painful part was my wrists and hands....every few miles I shuck them out.

Re: Starting LeJog wimps route this Sept...

You are right, it was Drummochter! As I mentioned on the ride, I will follow you.....you seem to know where we are with that Lezyne.
The Garmin boys lost out, so on your advice a Lezyne now sits on my bars

Re: Starting LeJog wimps route this Sept...

Be careful coming down from Schlodt summit, the path is good but one bridge may catch you out, a quick left bend!

Re: Dawes Karakum OK for Gentle off-road

I used a Dawes Karakum for my ride on the Wimps Lejog....and it coped well with all surfaces that we rode on. Schwalbe Silento tyres were my choice

Hi,
I am one of the Wimps and I have written a book outlining our journey. It gives routes, cafes and our story. If you would like a copy get in touch asap and I can post one to you. It costs a fiver, all profits to Bloodwise

Re: A new bike for LeJoG - but what sort?

I crashed my Galaxy 5 weeks before my Lejog so bought a Dawes Karakum...and loved it. The butterfly bars made all the difference.....
