Re: Osama Bin swimming.

Personally I have been sceptical of the whole "operation" from the start. The US govt (and the UK) lied about WMD and invaded Iraq. The british media reported it verbatim. Turns out it was a LIE! Discrepencies in the 9/11 Commission Report that have not been addressed (no I DON'T mean mini...

Re: AGM Results

I couldn't attend the AGM as I was on a weekend residential course.
I did send my voting paper in though.
I voted NO!
I am surprised that it got through to be honest. :?

Re: new claud butler dalesman

I have a 2008 CB Dalesman.
very happy with it but have replace the Selle Rolls saddle with my old faithful Brooks Flyer.
Will be replacing the Bor Yueh rack with a Tubus when I tour later in the year.

I think for the money £699 it was a bargain.

Re: Ay-Up Lights

Just thought I'd do a little update on the Ay Ups now that they are 18 months old. They are still superb. Battery life does not seem to have altered at all (still really good). I think they are outstanding. I use them on the road bike, on the mountain bike, walking the dogs and when working. Infact...

Re: waterproof trousers

Re: Thorn v Dawes Galaxy - Value for money?

If you are interested Bike Shed in Crediton are doing the Claud Butler Dalesman for £699 or so. They are 2008 Models but have Reynolds 631 frame, Reynolds 520 Fork, Shimano Deore & Tiagra components, mudguards and a rear rack. It is a similar spec to the Dawes Galaxy Plus except the CB has a Bor...

Very nice lorry driver!

On my ride home tonight I was followed by a large lorry who kept his distance for a good mile or so. Obviously annoyed cars behind him! At the lights I was in lane to turn right the lorry pulled up on my left. I thanked him for being considerate. He said "I've seen whats left of a cyclist under...

Re: Carradice saddle bags

I currently use a Carrera MTB for commuting/mini touring etc. Have been using a Topeak Trunk Bag (goes with my rear rack) but would like a carradice CLF. I have a Brooks Flyer saddle. I have seen conflicting measurements for the CLF. Some say it's 30cm (Bike +) high and others say it's 24cm high (Ca...
