Well, the yellow disc has reappeared this morning. There is a pattern forming here - yellow disc out = me at work. Monsoons = me out on bike.

Re: Unidentified object - please help.....

I'd heard that "sun" had disappeared forever. Definitely not after all we now have "The Sun on Sunday" Nope, it wasn't a newspaper up in the sky. The wind has dropped sufficiently to allow things like that to land. Whatever it was, has now been replaced by a lovely blanket of gr...

Re: Unidentified object - please help.....

First 2 options are a distinct possibility.

Your 3rd option is something called "sun"????

Sorry, but I have only vague recollections of something by this name, but that was from a long time ago. I'd heard that "sun" had disappeared forever.

Unidentified object - please help.....

Right. I have just spent the last 3 days cycling around Herts, Beds, Bucks and Oxon, fully kitted out with tent, panniers etc etc in preparation for Junes LE>JOG>Baldock trip. I've enjoyed headwinds, torrential downpours, hailstorms and lightning as well as flooded roads. Anyway, I'm back at work to...

Re: Food shops near Sennen

Alex - thanks for the encouragement. I reckon I am about 300 miles short of a proper LEJOGLE.

So, next year, Home to LE and back will see a completion. Might leave it a while before I request the pass for that one though.

Re: Food shops near Sennen

When I was last down that way we did our main shopping in Morrisons in Penzance. As for teatime, there is a chippy and pub in sennen cove. Possibly some other stuff, can't remember entirely. By the way, by "LE to Baldock Via JOG" do you mean almost a LEJOGLE? Alex - No - I havent quite go...

Re: Food shops near Sennen

Thanks Alex. Ooh. Just spotted the first & last inn on the link you sent. That may well do. Just need to carry my normal bucket of Alpen from Penzance for breakfast (I'm trying to remember where I stopped for tea when I did LEJOG in 08).

Food shops near Sennen

Would any of you fine people be able to tell me where the nearest food shop is to Sennen?

I'll be stopping at Sennen Holiday Village campsite the night before my "LE to Baldock Via JOG" trip.

Ideally the shop also sells BEER :D

Re: LEJOG Starting on 9th June. Anyone fancy coming along?

Good luck Jazz, I like the "ex chef who likes a beer" comment. You sound like the ideal travelling companion. Thanks Whippet. Looking forward to it. Trying to book train tickets at the moment. What a pain in the 'arris :x Just wondering if anyone else suffers from pre-tour nerves. For LEJ...
