Re: ...why so many bikes are such boring drab colours these days?

I can see why winter bikes are dark colours. Spent a good hour today trying to get my wife’s white Specialized clean, as opposed to my mainly black (and red/orange) BTwin, which took about 10 mins to clean. I had a white Specialized Sirrus. The graphics were in red on top of the white (sort of the ...

Kawasakis should always be "that green": https://uploads.carandclassic.co.uk/uploads/cars/kawasaki/10416368.jpg Off topic. I know that it's an after market exhaust system but I've never seen a H2 triple with all the exhausts on the same side. Nice !! On topic. I completely agree with the ...

Re: Any other motorcyclists here?

Hyrdogen 2 stokes? and presumably no need any more to decoke the pistons/heads? any one remember having to do that? I remember it well. Not just the piston and head but but also running caustic soda through the exhaust pipe. Forty odd years ago when I was an apprentice, I had a little Peugot moped ...

...I know..I know..I know......We will ALL believe it when we see it, BUT....Wouldn't this be great... https://www.bikesportnews.com/news/news-detail/two-strokes-back-in-motogp-by-2026 The current MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 bikes sound great close up but it would be great if they could introduce a clas...

Re: Any other motorcyclists here?

You guys lusting after the Suzuki T500/GT500 range, have a go on one today. I rode a GT500 years ago and then more recently I had a go on this beauty. It ran well but it was harsh, vibrated big time and I couldn't wait to get off it. I promptly threw my rose tinted specs into the bin !! Looks great ...

That particular feature has returned to modern motorcycles - especially to BMWs. Pop into a BMW motorcycle main dealer and have a look at the used stock (or even the demonstrator fleet parked outside) Absolutely shocking for a so called 'premium brand'

Re: Any other motorcyclists here?

I still hanker after one last two stroke but prices have gone mad for things like Yamaha 250/350 LCs Prices for Elsie's have plateaued now and I think fell back a bit while prices of enduro bikes have gone up big time -- but most of these old two stroke road bikes aren't great to ride -- buy a TDR2...

Re: Any other motorcyclists here?

Usually have a few knocking about. Currently BMW R1200GS, BMW R90S , Royal Enfield Constellation 700, Royal Enfield 350 Bullet trials and an MZ TS250. I see that you have an R90S. I've just had a major humming/hahhing session over buying one that came up for sale fairly locally. I've always wanted ...

Brompton M6L in British racing green

This bike is absolutely as new basically because it has only done around 70 miles (really) One lap of the Isle of Man TT course and a run around Douglas. That's it. Bought new by me from Evans in York. I thought that I would use it more than I have so it's time to move it on. Everything works perfec...

Re: Garmin 1030 bike alarm feature

Why would you leave your garmin on your bike? If you don't leave it on your bike how will the Garmin tell you someone is messing with your bike? I think you're missing philvantwo's point.... The point being (I think) that MOST people would not leave an expensive Garmin whatever on a bike whe...

Re: ** The General Election Thread **

The issue I have, is that I'm a lifelong labour supporter in everything except I want us to leave the EU, and labour don't. I sense your pain. I thought long and hard (I do hope that we all did) and on balance, I would prefer to leave the EU. I have voted Labour since I was 18 (I'm now 62) but I'm ...
