We obviously move in different circles, i seem to to be surrounded by people who buy the most expensive of everything, then worry that it may be too good to use or melt in the first shower of rain.

How critical are the MAX markings on saddle rails?

I have just taken delivery of a Spa Aire saddle with cromo rails and the MAX marks barely extend beyond the boundaries of the saddle clamp, therefore giving very little room for adjustment if the markings are observed.

Take a look at the Wyeside campsite on the edge of Rhayader.

It's a decent site, with easy access to amenities in the town itself, but more importantly some lovely bike riding country, including around the beautiful Elan Valley reservoirs and dams.
