Great to see the Watsonian photos, classic design, they seem to be a pivoting type really am looking for a fixed non pivoting design that would mimic a three wheeler.

Glad it was useful and with the type of bar i have the bar ends are not fully round the corner so moving them out will also angle the bar ends even farther out .

Both the bars and bar ends are cheap unbranded old things i have had a while .The bars are north road / comfort type ,i find the swept back bar and bar ends giving a good forward reach to get more power down for hill climbing and headwinds a very good mix of hand positions and unlike drops i find th...

I am the same hight as you Kate (op) and being very tall and thin have always struggled to get bikes to fit and with the same confidence and stability issues, it sounds like the bike is suitable for what you want to do, but is not suitable for your hight. Yeh thanks for the reply, i c an vaguely remember reading somthing about an offer that Cycling UK had to boost numbers a while back, but couldn't any mention of it anywhere at the moment, i could always use another cycling mug though.

This is my 1997 Raleigh Ranndoneur with the 708 frame when I did the Morecambe Bay Cycle way, i have since put flat bars on it, increasingly not liking drop bars as I get older.
