Re: SPOKE LENGTHS?
Hmm! thanks for prompt reply, it's for a c 1930's Raleigh rod braked racer...the rear brake doesn't work, well it does then it doesn't as the wheel is oval and out of true....I took it to a decent bike shop( I'd rather not say as I have had good service before) I was told that the(some) spokes were ...

replacing SA K type threaded drivers with later AW
Does anyone know how involved it is to replace the threaded driver on early Sturmey type hubs.........I have a K32( 1932) that the sprocket is junk, given that they are difficult and expensive-ish to source can I install a 3 spline 'standard' driver from a later 3 speed? I seem to recall reading som...

Re: NHS -privatisation!
The whole thing about privatisation is lies, apparently it's not affordable, hmm there's around 26'000'000 income tax payers in the UK, if we all paid just £1 per week into NI with the proviso that it ALL went into the NHS it would generate £106'000'000 per average month, year on year savings just t...

Re: NHS -privatisation!
"Well, the fact remains that NHS staff, like most public sector workers, are expensive to employ, mainly because of the perks I mentioned above. I see no reason why these same staff, if outsourced to the private sector firms doing work for the NHS, could not continue to provide the service they...

Re: Concerning Marmite
love the stuff...can't say I notice any difference? it's great on buttered toast thinly spread over the toast then put mature cheddar over the top and grill! you can now buy Marmite mini cheeses like baby bell things but with Marmite mixed into the cheese mixturemmmmmmmmm
