Bikepacking Frame Bag

For sale is this fully waterproof frame bag that fits to the bike via Velcro straps. In very good condition - used for 2 trips over the last 4 years. One large compartment and one small one on the side for keys or something. Both zips work well. Measures 41cm long, 19cm deep and just under 6cm wide....

Re: Holdsworth model

Thanks both for the information- need to digest it. The photo makes the paintwork look much better than it is - I am 100% certain the bike hasn’t been touched since the mid 70s as I have known it since then. I acquired it from my friend 2 years ago and have just been cleaning it and trying to sympat...

Holdsworth model

Can anyone help identify what model this Holdsworth might be. There is no indication on the frame including no Reynolds or other stickers. From the serial number it is circa 1960. The bike was bought in the mid 1970s from a gentleman living in Southampton who had ridden in the 1948 London Olympics. ...

Can anyone identify this frame?

I bought this frame in the summer as a winter project. The seller couldn’t tell me anything about it. The only markings are, as shown, under the bottom bracket. I believe the frame might be 1950s and that it could have been built by a local shop/builder. Any pointers would be gratefully received - w...

Hi
Does anyone know a supplier of traditional, black, brake cable housing - with the longitudinal ribs?

Loose nipples and spokes

Have just bought a wheelset secondhand for winter use. On my second ride out I heard a rattling from the front wheel. I found that 3 spokes had come completely loose, not broken. The nipples were inside the rim. The wheel are in good nick and we're running true. On examining the 3 spokes they still ...

Re: Gear cable for vintage Huret gear shifter

Thanks Brucey

Yes, my fallback is to adapt a cable with a larger nipple. It doesn't articulate so that wouldn't be an issue

Gear cable for vintage Huret gear shifter

Hi

Does anyone know where I can find a cable to fit an older style, down tube, gearshifter?

The old cable has a small, flat, circular nipple that sits inside the Huret shifter. It's much smaller an the modern ones - 5mm in diameter.

Thanks
