I use a Trangia but to tell the truth find it easier to put my Bialetti on a small Pocket Rocket gas stove knock off.

Very fast and convenient. Seems faster than the stove at home in fact.

Three cheap and nasty tent pegs through the base air holes make for a reasonable Bialetti support.

I love a good solution AS. All my holes are in the lower section of the stove unit. I'm lost [emoji848]. I cut the handle off a metal noodle strainer I didn't use. Fits perfectly in the nest of bowls and balances my 3 cup and 6 cup Bialettis.

3 pegs in an equalateral triangle. Choose holes to suit.

Re: Skye to Oban Route

The Glenelg route means doing the Mam Ratagan Pass first then the pass between Kylerhea and Broadford. Two of my favourite hills. Enjoy them!

Re: Brookes Cambium Saddle

I just did Dieppe-Cognac-Dieppe on a 3 month old C17. 1300km in 6 days and loved the saddle. I have gone through 2 Pros and had a B17 regular and narrow of which neither suited that well. I reckon it's about the same as a Regal in shape but my old Regal skinned me in the heat last year in Champagne. This year was hot, cold, wet, sweaty, between 8 and 10 1/2 hours in saddle days. Couldn't have asked for a better perch. Try one.
