Re: Cycle Paths

Can anyone tell me, why cycling uk is not promoting the compulsory use of cycle paths? I’m a cyclist and a driver and have just seen the new laws regarding close passing of cyclists. There is nothing more irritating than cyclists on a narrow road when there is a cycle path next to it. I believe the...

Re: Duke In Rollover

Sounds like she's refused to say who was driving her car when it was snapped by a speed camera? One law for the duke (arguably causes crash, not prosecuted), another for the plebs (car snapped by speed camera, prosecuted)? I’m no fan of the Royals (far from it) but I’m not sure you have this right....

Re: Mamil bikes

Those sportive frames, being carbon, will have a limited lifespan. So not only are they less comfortable to ride, you'll be replacing them quite frequently. I think people are being "done up like a kipper" Fascinating. I have a specialised Roubaix not dissimilar to these contemptible mach...

Re: Possibly dumb question - fixing panniers to rear Tubus rack.

I don't think it matters at all which one at all as long as it's set up so the whole pannier is far enough back not to found foul your heel.

I do think they're a pain to set up right but very easy once done.

I haven't accused you of gleaning your opinions from down the pub. I never said you had. It was suggested on here that I get my opinions from down the pub. I was explaining that other people have opinions and they aren't all at odds with mine. In fact, I don't know any remainers personally. Never m...

Re: Route from Huddersfield to derby via peaks.

I'd head for Langsett then the the Strines road to the Hope valley. From there south to Ashbourne, all the minor roads are both fabulous and generally very hilly, you can't really go wrong. Major roads are generally pretty busy but much less strenuous and ok for a bale out if needed. Don't know from...

you seem to be of the opinion that Facism and Dictatorship can always happen what ever the age. As if there is no real progress. That a single person in control would always end up being a H , a M or a Franco? They belong to a time when war between the Great Powers was possible and actual - It is h...
