No I haven't used them but they have a shop front in Brisbane where I live https://www.google.com/maps/place/Bikebug/@-27.4885173,153.0263094,956m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x6b915a6d08b5b903:0x42defe0506dddff5!8m2!3d-27.4885221!4d153.0284981
Their prices look very good for Australia. Our dollar has been hammered hard.......

Angstrom wrote:It's sad but that's how it is nowadays. A high price is not a guarantee for a more durable product any more. Becasue we are not round the world travelers, I accept the risk of having to change after few years.
That's right... But the important question is what is the quality of the pole set on the Naturehike? There has been a lot of "product shrinkage". The pole sets on my last two tents only lasted a few weeks! A Marmot and a Big Agnes..... I never had a problem with DAC poles.
Anyway, most tents come from China, if the Naturehike has decent poles I'll buy one. I've used Aliexpress extensively, there is no problem.

Re: Marathon Plus or Marathon Tour?
The Marathon Tour is aimed at mixed dirt/bitumen riding. The tread is extra deep and thick. I used a pair in Australia.... They are probably tougher, more puncture resistant and will last longer.

Re: using SD card with Garmin Etrex
Create the following directory on the microSD card: Garmin/GPX/My Tracks
Put your GPX tracks into the My Tracks folder. That's it.

Hilleberg was always too expensive for me. I have a Tarptent Scarp1 that has been excellent.https://www.tarptent.com/

The Chateaus of Loire are perhaps the most significant attraction. Chateau Villandry's garden really is something. Still, riding down the river is wonderful as well.....depends on what you like. Tourist Max in August, famous Chateau will be overrun.

Knee injuries/surgery can cause a lot of muscle wasting. You could get somebody to measure the circumference of your thighs and compare.... This could indicate the nature and severity of the problem.

Re: Santiago de Compostella
Well, start here https://www.biroto.eu/en/find-cycle-routes-and-tours-on-map These are great routes.
Pretty much all the bikeways in Europe are here https://www.opencyclemap.org/
Print maps or make a GPS track..... A GPS makes it so easy (especially when crossing Cities).
Taking detours? Absolutely no problem in France. For many years I followed the white/yellow roads on the French Michelin maps. It's easy and safe. Or just use the Osmand App (or something equivalent) and make it up as you go. It's a great journey.

Re: Wheel moving in horizontal dropouts
I think a solid axle would be the advice from Rohloff.
However, I fitted a QR non-disc Rohloff to a Surly Ogre..... The initial result was an irritating creaking noise coming from the axle on moderate pedal pressure. Subsequently I fitted a Surly tuggnut and a long axle (hex-head) as already indicated. I terminated the axle in an old Campag Record "nut". This fixed the problem.
Perhaps the disc brake may further complicate the picture? Rim brakes appear to be OK.
